A zipper model approach to the thermoreversible gel-sol transition

چکیده
2014 The gel-sol transition of thermo-reversible gels is examined theoretically by using a zipper model which has been used for explaining the helix-coil transition and the melting of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). The endothermic peaks in a heating curve of differential scanning calorimetry for various thermoreversible gels are analysed by this treatment. J. Phys. INTRANASAL THERMOREVERSIBLE MUCOADHESIVE GELS: A Review
Almost 40% of active Pharmaceutical ingredients have low oral bioavailability, high hepatic first-pass metabolism and also less efficient in crossing the blood brain barrier for brain targeting through oral delivery. To overcome this problem the various system such as: nasal spray, gels, emulsions, droplets, suspensions, powders and thermoreversible mucoadhesive gels etc have been studied for n...

On the basis of the classical tree statistics, being combined with the lattice theory of a polymer solution, we prove that within the mean-field approximation thermoreversible gelation of polyfunctional molecules is a third order phase transition analogous to the Bose-Einstein condensation of ideal Bose gases. The derivative of the osmotic compressibility with respect to the concentration of pr...

We have shown that the lattice fluid hydrogen bond ~LFHB! model can successfully quantify the first-order volume transition in hydrogels. The model predicts that a critical balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic interactions is required for a gel to exhibit a discontinuous volume transition. In this work we will report the swelling behavior of a new thermoreversible copolymer hydrogel, which ha...
